Year One.

January 24, 2011 was the day that started it all in our first chapter. An unplanned and unexpected relationship, that slowly grew into something we didn’t know about it. We had unexplained feelings and emotions that we couldn’t describe or share towards each other. All we could do is smile, stare and laugh a little whenever there was a chance to take a quick glimpse of each other. Every chance that I took, I would embrace every second of that moment by just looking at you. You were so precious, beautiful, loving, heart warming, and made me smile countless times. As each day passes by, we’ve became closer and closer till our friendship slowly turned into a special relationship.

2,141 miles and a three hour time difference is what kept us far apart from each other. We couldn’t hug each other, couldn’t lightly kiss each other, comfort each other when we needed each other, and couldn’t even link arms or hold hands. Reality kept drilling into our minds, telling us that this relationship isn’t going to make it this far. It wasn’t going to makes things better, but make us feel the aches and pains of not physically being with each other. A flow of negative thoughts would rush to my mind of not seeing myself and this relationship to be successful. I couldn’t see how successful this would be. The only way we could see each other was through a pixelated screen, talk to each other through texts and phone calls. It limited us. But, some how you made me forget the reality of the distance. You’ve reminded me how far we’ve gotten with this relationship no matter what the limitations it gave us. I remembered to close my eyes and lay down some where, just so this “reality” can go away. These imaginations, these dreams slowly reappeared and replayed a movie about us. We have no where to go but our dreams. Our dreams. The dreams that kept us together and turned our wishes into something that felt so real. We pretend those wishes would become a reality. Whenever we fall asleep, I would close my eyes, pretend to feel your hand next to mine. Your hand slowly grasping for mine, the urge of those warm smiles as we carefully snuggle against each other. Every night, I would always embrace these dreams and wish for these dreams to become real. Hoping these wishes would come true some how.

These wishes were slowly becoming a reality as we worked our way to the things we’ve always wanted. Through the sadness and frustration, our relationship suffered through its ups and downs. We fixed and recovered the things we lost and would always brought something new for us to understand. We become stronger and stronger every day. You’ve stuck with me through thick and thin, and never gave up on me no matter what I said or do. I would never give up on you when you needed me. I stood by your side for more than a year, helping you and supporting you on the difficult decisions you had to make. We stood by each other, worked our hardest to something we never imagined before. You’re wondering what that unimaginable thing is, aren’t you? I thought it would be something simple, but I guess I made this entire essay complicated for me to say one word that I haven’t said for the past few minutes. Well here it is, its called love. We started and planted something so small. It started as a friendship and slowly blossom into a relationship we never imagined before. We left it untouched and let it grow on its own. For the past few years, it was unexpected for something to grow between us. It was something that pushed us to where we are now, to something we’ve always wanted. This is what love wanted us to be at and we’ve made that happen.

This love bloomed and glistened two little rings. To remind us how far we’ve gotten with us together. It hangs around our necks and right next to our hearts to signify that our love has no ends, no matter where we are and no matter where we stand. And I bet you’re imagining this with my eyes watery eyed and a smile across my face to show how happy I am when I with you. And to be honest, you’ve imagined right. Thank you for sticking with me for 365 days because we wouldn’t manage to get this far if it wasn’t for you. Now we can finally start a new chapter to our story and continue on to the next chapter. Happy One Year Anniversary and I love you oh so much.
